Public Webinar on Thursday 12 May 2016

The FireComp project is approaching the end of the 36 month project duration.
Therefore it is now time to summarize the achievements and to present the results.
The Public Webinars aims to inform experts in COPV design and modelling, COPV fire testing and fire modelling as well as specialists in risk assessment about the project findings.

You will learn first-hand about the results of the test programs performed on small scale composite samples as well as full scale COPV cylinders under fire exposure. Also, you can get an insight in the thermal and mechanical modelling based on the results of the experimental campaign.

Furthermore, your input will enrich the results of the risk analysis with its methodology and conclusions.

You will benefit from:

> First-hand access to the results of a world class experimental and modeling program covering both fire and mechanical material properties designated for immediate influence future COPV designs and developments,

> Shared insight into the thermal behavior of COPV during fire testing and proposal for modified fire test procedures

> Opportunity to receive FireComp project recommendations to Industry and RCS.

The agenda of the webinars will be:

9:00 - 10:00 // FireComp Risk analysis (methodology)

10:15 - 11:15 // FireComp Experimental Part #1:

> Sample Testing

> Thermal model + mechanical model

11:30 - 12:30 // FireComp Experimental Part #2

> Cylinder Testing

> Cylinder Modeling
